Surreal: One, Twice, Thrice!

Once upon a time,

the soul commits a crime,

and the body pays,

in a stasis it stays.

Twice upon a time,

together the clocks of life chime,

and the debt is finally paid,

when the death is betrayed.

Thrice upon a time,

left without a dime,

and an eternity of suffering,

the soul is left wondering.

Once, twice, and thrice,

you can throw the dice,

and outcome remains the same,

for this pain, you alone hold the blame.
